| PLACEMENTS |
Image Placements aim to ensure that students gain experience in a course of 2d & 3d Animation and that they acquire the skills necessary to undertake their professional role. This includes opportunities to learn and apply a variety of a field experience including hands on training & Internship Studio Programs with a variety of clients, in a diversity of settings. Experience of working in multi disciplinary settings and familiarity with the work of other professionals we also important objectives. In their role as placement trainees or fresher candidate and then select and approve the creative work of new members of the profession.
Placements in the WORKPLACE
Relevant paid Employment can be given to a student placement providing it is cocurrent with enrolment in the placement and there is an approved faculty available to provide training & supervision. In such a placement, the student needs to demonstrate that they are gaining knowledge and experience which is beyond their usual paid duties.
The Indian animation and Gaming Industry has taken off in a big way in the last two to three years. The credit to this can not only be attributed to the growing recognition of the Indian IT's industry expertise and the creative skills, but also to the growing maturity of animation studios, increase in co - production ventures and development of IP and the attractive domestic market, " Kiran Karnik, President NASSCOM said.
" But we need to focus on factors like external investment and specialized training and government support in terms of broadcasting policy regulations in India, on the lines of what it is in countries like France, Singapore, China, Canada & Phillippines. |

| WHAT IS AN INTERNSHIP ? |
An internship is a planned learning experience, in which a student spends time in the workplace under the supervision
of workplace personnel, "learning by doing". Intern take the knowledge and skills learned in the class room and apply
them in real-life work situations, learning from professionals while they explore and experience career options.
For an internship to be successful, all four main participants (the intern, the site supervisor, the faculty sponsor, and
IIDT itself) must fulfill their responsibilities. |

| STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITIES |
| Students have a crucial part to play in ensuring the success of your internship, and you must be prepared to be
proactive and use your initiative to ensure that it runs smoothly. It is your responsibility to: |
- Prepare an appropriate Learning Proposal
- Register for the internship
- Be punctual, and work the required number of hours, at times agreed to by you and your supervisor
- Notify the workplace if you are unable to attend as planned
- Behave and dress appropriately to the particular workplace
- Respect the confidentiality of the workplace, its clients and Its workers
- Check out responsibilities at the work site with the supervisor, and make sure you know what you are expected
to do, and how you should behave
- Be positive and enthusiastic about the internship; if things are slow, take the initiative, and volunteer for different
tasks or other work.
- Discuss any problems with your supervisor and, if necessary, with the faculty sponsor and the IIDT staff
representative of the University, and behave appropriately
